CEO of Adventure Cycling Company Profiled by Inc. Magazine

Lauren Hefferon, the spunky CEO/Founder of the award-winning adventure cycling company Ciclismo Classico, was recently profiled by Inc. Magazine in an inspirational story entitled "How I Built a Lifestyle Business I Love".The story details how Hefferon founded Ciclismo Classico in 1988 with a dream to combine a passion for her bicycling, her Italian roots, visual arts and outdoor education. You learn that after graduating in anthropology from Cornell, she studied fine arts in Florence, cycled over 35,000 miles as a guide, and ultimately decided to start a company that exposed others to the wonders of European cycling.Fast-forward 25-years and Ciclsimo Classico has  won “trip of the year” awards from National Geographic Traveler and Outside magazine, and  for the second straight year, the Boston Business Journal and the Commonwealth Institute named it  one of Boston’s top 100 woman-led businesses.A devoted cycling promoter, Lauren’s life and politics revolve around her two-wheeled activities. Commuting everywhere by bike, she supports cycling causes, such as Rails to Trails, Bikes Belong, Pan Mass Challenge and Mass Bike.
