The Cycling House Majorca, Spain cycling camp in The New York Times

Sublime client The Cycling House and its Majorca cycling trip were recently written up in The New York Times In Transit travel section.You say Majorca. I say Mallorca. In either case, we're talking about a cycling heaven on a Spanish island in the Mediterranean.The article says,“Competitive cyclists who want a hint of vacation in their training schedule might turn to the Cycling House for assistance.The company, which offers endurance sport training camps in scenic destinations, has added dates for its cycling program on the island of Majorca in Spain this spring. Majorca, already known for its bike culture, offers athletes excellent weather and paved roadways for the six days of fully guided tours, both along the shore and into the mountains, where climbs can range from three to eight miles. The trip begins with a 30-mile ride on Day 1, followed by four days of 60- to 80-mile rides, with a recovery day midweek. The coaching staff, made up of professional triathletes, a bike mechanic, mountain bikers and road racers, will be on hand to offer snacks, extra layers and guidance on technique, handling, nutrition and maintenance.Shuttle service to and from rides is available when necessary.Accommodations at a Spanish country villa are included, as are three meals a day, which this year will be prepared by a Majorcan chef with food from local markets. Access to a nearby 25-meter pool is also available to those who want to keep up with their triathlon training, as well as a fully equipped bike garage.Spots are available in three of the four Majorca camps this May, at a rate of $2,795 per rider, which includes everything but airfare and bike rental (if guests don’t want to bring their own).Other camps available during the 2014 season include several in and around the company’s home base in Tucson, Ariz.; camping tours through western Montana on road and mountain bikes; and in Tuscany, a chance to mix training with a little wine tasting.”Click here to go to the article.
