Wall Street Journal reports price reduction on Carmel Valley ranch
The asking price of Jim Kirk's Carmel Valley ranch in California has been reduced to $21.5 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. Oak Ridge Ranch had previously been listed at $33 million.Kirk is the founder of NationsRent, a rental equipment company that sold in 2006. Kirk bought the 6,500-acre Carmel Valley cattle ranch in the 1980s for about $10 million.Located 27 miles east of Pebble Beach, Oak Ridge Ranch is one of only a few large ranches in Carmel Valley. The compound includes a four-bedroom main residence, guest home, caretaker's house and barn. The property features an extensive paved road system, allowing vehicular access to all areas of the ranch.This Carmel Valley ranch also provides excellent wildlife habitat for deer, turkey, quail, bobcat and Russian wild boar.
